The Discipleship Training School (DTS) seeks to bring you into a more intimate relationship with God. It also gives you an opportunity to discover your passions and your part in God’s purposes for the world. It is for those who long to follow Jesus in new ways with a different perspective.
The course is a full-time program and lasts five or six months. It consists of two parts: lecture phase and outreach phase. In the lecture phase, you will learn more about God and His world. You’ll learn not only from lectures but also from community living and practical training. The outreach phase focuses on applying what you learned in the classroom through an intense, cross-cultural experience.
DTS is the prerequisite for not only becoming YWAM staff, but also for YWAM’s second-level training.

School Purpose and Goals

All of this provides a perfect platform for truly experiencing the Word for what it truly is. DBS is focused on teaching and equipping students on how to be discipled by the Bible. Through this process, students learn the true meaning of repentance and salvation, and will be challenged to practically live out what they are learning through various application. The main goal of DBS is to facilitate a time for students to grow closer to their Creator and to fall in love with His word through being transformed in their minds. Its focus is to bridge spirit and truth with the Word, to inform the overwhelmed and provide a clear understanding on what the Bible actually says. Ultimately, students are able to make there faith their own.

We are all leaders, as we are influencing people around us. We believe that good leadership training happens in an environment, where mistakes are allowed, grace is sufficient, honor amongst each other is valued and truth is spoken. Leadership Building Blocks
Our Leadership Training Program is made out of different blocks, building on each other. There are two starting dates each year, one in Fall the other one in Spring. You can check for exact dates on our website www.ywamdavos.org. The first year is the Basic Leadership Training School (BLS). This school wraps around the DTS starting about three month after you started your leadership training. It is designed to help you discover your leadership, while staffing DTS. The second year builds strongly on the first year with a focus of developing your leadership (SALT). You will be given more responsibilities as a leader towards the DTS students as well as helping to BLS students to see their potential. The third year is all about multiplying your leadership (SPLD). Meanwhile you hopefully discovered more about who you are and what really excites you. We are passionate to help you during this year to develop your next step towards the start of a new ministry, school, YWAM Location or what ever. If you have a dream or a call from God to start something somewhere, we believe that a good preparation time as well as training are not wasted time but an important investment into the future. YWAM Davos is committed to help you out as much as we can.
